Well... that'd certainly deter some folks.

I'm not one for cruel and unusual punishment, but as someone whose grandparents were constantly target by scammers...  I can't say I'm too opposed to this either. Regardless, it'd certainly make a scammer think twice before cheating an old-timer out of their life's savings.
